5 WRHCThursday 25th of July, Day 1 of the 5th World Reindeer Herders Congress in Aoluguya, China.

After some delay with the busstransfering from Genhe, the meeting started at 10.00 am, with many local reindeerherders and other local people participating. Local children opened the meeting with some lovely singing. Over sixty delegates from all over the world attended the round table discussion; one item in particular was that the delegates approved Scotland to be member of WRH, and they were congratulated on becoming new members.
During the coffee breaks there was a lot of mingling and social interactions, and delegates made good discussions with each other, even despite the langauge difficulties. The evening events were arranged by the Genhe community with local music and dancing.
