Arctic Resilience Forum 2020 started and it was opened by the Indigenous Youth Leadership session on October 7th. Sesion engaged young people in a dialogue about their aspirations and needs for taking charge for resilience leadership. The central to the program of this unique session was on the panel discussion betwenn 7 young indigeouns youth leaders from Yakutia and Yamal in Russia to Sweden, Norway and back across to Greenland and on to Alaska. Youth represented Sami, Evenki, Inuit, Nenets, Aneut and Athabaskan peoples, paritcipants shared their thougths on crisis that their community faces, ideas on resilience for the future of your Arctic community.
The Arctic Resilience Forum will be convened every Wednesday from 11:30am – 1:00pm (Eastern Time) over a series of ten weeks. The online series will engage the broadest audience possible in conversations about how to build the resilience of Arctic communities and ecosystems across a variety of focus areas.
