In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, on November 15, the traditional press conference of Governor Natalya Komarova was held online. It was attended by regional, municipal and federal media, as well as representatives of the foreign press. The governor was asked more than 50 questions, including those related to health care, economics, domestic policy, lawmaking, topical political topics not only of the region but also of the country, as well as global international issues were touched upon.
General Secretary of the Association of World Reindeer Herders Anders Oskal expressed his gratitude to the Governor for supporting the VII World Congress of Reindeer Herders, which will be held on March 3-9, 2022 in Khanty-Mansiysk. In turn, Natalya Komarova supported the idea of creating a photo album dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Association of World Reindeer Herders.

- Dear Natalya Vladimirovna! Thank you for inviting me to this press conference and we would like to thank you for your strong support and contribution to the organization of the 7th World Reindeer Herders Congress, which will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk in 2022. The Association of World Reindeer Herders also celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2022. In the course of preparation for the congress, we have come up with an initiative to publish a special anniversary photo album, which will include the best historic materials including those from the forthcoming congress. On behalf of the association, I would be very grateful to you Natalya Vladimirovna for supporting the initiative and I do hope to see you in Khanty-Mansiysk. Thank you very much!

- Thank you very much Anders for your kind words addressed to our region, and I am glad that our meeting took place, albeit a short question-answer, but nevertheless, we met each other. Indeed, it is a great honor for us to host the World Reindeer Herders Congress! This is a unique cultural professional event. I would like to note that the upcoming congress is included in the action plan of the Russian chairmanship in the Arctic Council. 25 years of the association is a quarter of a century of serving very important goals and I am sure that the photo album that you are planning to create will definitely take place. I am confident in publishing success also because the association has experience in publishing. Here I will mention the set of regulations that are related to the activities of reindeer herders around the world. I support your initiative to create a photo album. For our part, we are ready to provide all kinds of assistance in its preparation and publication, and we are waiting for you in Yugra in March 2022!
