Video about International workshop on the Arctic Council SDWG EALLU on "Indigenous youth, Food Knowledge and Arctic Change", which was held November 29 - December 03, 2021 in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District (Russia), in the framework of the Senior Arctic Officials' Committee meeting and the Arctic Council plenary meeting in Salekhard.
Participants of the workshop were young reindeer herders and representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North from Yamal (Russia), Yakutia (Russia) and Scandinavia (Norway and Sweden).
Evenki, Even, Nenets, Khanty, Komi-Zyryan and Sámi came together to get acquainted, exchange experience and information, as well as knowledge of their indigenous communities through food culture.
As part of the workshop program, the participants visited the camp of the Khanty reindeer herders - Sergey and Yana Kondygins and their relatives. Participants together with herders demonstrated master class on traditional reindeer slaughter, which is usually different for each reindeer herding people and is directly related to traditional nutrition. After visiting the camp, participants moved to the kitchen to prepare traditional dishes from fresh meat, fish and berries. The dishes were presented at the Arctic Reception for the participants of the meeting of the Senior Arctic Officials' Committee meeting and were highly appreciated.
The EALLU project is a project of the Arctic Council, which began in 2015 and is being implemented by the Association of World Reindeer Herders and the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry. EALLU is an initiative of young people looking for opportunities to explore and use the enormous potential of traditional knowledge in the nutrition system necessary for economic development, physical and social health of indigenous communities in the Arctic. The goal of the EALLU project is to study, preserve and develop food culture that contributes to the revival of Arctic ethnic groups.

Видеоролик о международном семинаре по проекту Рабочей группы по устойчивому развитию Арктического совета ЕАЛЛУ ««Молодежь коренных народов, культура питания и перемены в Арктике», который проходил с 29 ноября по 03 декабря 2021 года в Ямало-Ненецком автономном округе, в рамках заседания Комитета старших должностных лиц Арктического совета.
В семинаре приняли участие молодые оленеводы и представители коренных малочисленных народов Севера из Ямала, Якутии и Скандинавии.
Эвенки, эвены, ненцы, ханты, коми-зыряне и саамы собрались вместе, чтобы познакомиться, обменяться опытом и информацией, а также знаниями своих коренных сообществ через культуру питания.
В рамках программы семинара участники посетили стойбище оленеводов ханты – Сергея и Яны Кондыгиных и их родственников. Участники провели мастер-класс по традиционному забою оленя, который обычно отличается у каждого оленеводческого народа и напрямую связан с традиционным питанием. После посещения стойбища участники перебрались на кухню, чтобы приготовить традиционные блюда из свежего мяса, рыбы, ягод. Блюда были представлены на фуршете для участников заседания Комитета старших должностных лиц Арктического совета и были высоко оценены участниками.
Проект ЕАЛЛУ – это проект Арктического совета, начавшийся в 2015 году и реализуемый под руководством Ассоциации «Оленеводы Мира» и Международного центра оленеводства. ЕАЛЛУ – это инициатива молодежи, которая ищет возможности изучить и использовать огромный потенциал традиционных знаний в системе питания, необходимых для экономического развития, физического и социального здоровья коренных сообществ Арктики.
Задача проекта ЕАЛЛУ – изучение, сохранение и развитие культуры питания, способствующей возрождению арктических этносов.
